3 moon old Cereste was sitting on her bed, holding a stuffed frog as she waited, again for one of her older sisters to come aid her. Even though she was so young, and had so much energy, it was as if that energy was endless, and she would not be able to go sleep on accurate times. Bored, the short alien girl hopped onto the floor and climbed upon the crystal windowsill, gazing in awe at the scenery below. Crystals jutted randomly from the earth, a soft red glow from the garnet-looking jags. She grinned and looked up, squinting as she saw a sparkle in the night sky. Just then, a pair of arms lifted her up, and she looked to see a morganite-eyed beauty. Just behind her was a scarlet-haired sister, as well. "Iso and Pala?"
The one who held her, Pala, giggled. "What are you doing? Did you see a shooting star, Cera?" Cereste nodded and pointed to the direction where she saw the sparkle before. And as Iso walked up, she narrowed her eyes. "Say, that doesn't look like a shooting star.." Pala poked the red-head's cheek. "Oh, I see it like one. Are you using that sight of yours, again?"
Iso grunted. "It seriously doesn't. It looks like a plane-"
"Ah, don't scare the poor girl. We know you have a reputation for being so, so, so dark minded." Pala turned to Cereste as her elder sister huffed in annoyance. "Would you like to make a wish?"
"Uh.. wish?" Cereste stared up with wide eyes, confused.
"I read in a book that if you make a wish on a shooting star, it will come true."
"Oh! Mother said that's not real..." At this, Pala puffed her cheeks. Iso chuckled. "I don't see why you're trying to entertain her now. She needs to sleep."
"I wanna make a wish." Pala grinned as she pat her younger sister's head.
"Alright. Just look up at the star again, and wish away!"
"Palerionne, can we-"
Cereste paused as she looked up at the sparkle in the sky. It was moving pretty slowly, and it was becoming bigger in many seconds. But she saw no harm in it, and she closed her eyes in a grin, clasping her hands together. "I wish to go to sleep on my own, someday." Pala scowled as Iso chuckled. When the child finished, she was scooped up by Iso and set into her bed, with her plush frog being handed to her as she had dropped it by accident. And placing a soft hand over thew girl's eyes, Pala had hypnotized her into a deep trance, until finally, the little girl was in a deep sleep. Pala tucked her in as Iso suddenly shrieked.
"Something is wrong!"
"Shh. Don't wake her up, Imorta. If you really think there's a problem, go to your mother. I can do nothing about it." Imorta was taken aback by Pala's sudden ice-cold exterior, but she had nodded, stomping her way out the room. The pink-eyed princess then caressed her sister's violet-black locks.
Cereste was awoken by a loud crash and burning at her side. The child looked down to see hot ash where part of her bed used to be. Her heart shrieked in fear as she jolted upright, standing up, only to be thrusted down by a sudden shake of the ground. She watched as her room cracked and threatened to shatter, and she screamed in distress. She didn't know what was happening. Was this a bad dream? She crawled her way out her bedroom, seeing a couple of figures in the distance. She shrieked once more as the floor below her gave way, and she thought she would die... until she was lifted and launched back. Iso held her protectively and dashed the opposite way, and before she new it, little Cereste passed out from the trepidation.
When she woke up, she thought she was back home, in the safe arms of one of her sisters, in assured security. But she found herself in a bland, barren area, wooden walls and thins sheets piled on top of one another to preserve her warmth. There were several picture on the walls, and she recognized one as her... and most of the other involved her sisters of some sort.. She sat up, and saw that her plush was in her arms; she hugged it tightly. As the door creaked open loudly, she flinched, looking up to see her red-haired sister, Imorta, whom she called Iso, in new attire that seemed almost like a... "Pirate..?"
Iso flushed, tears welling up. But she wiped them away and walked over to her younger sister, embracing her as if her life depended on it.
